Japan August 11 Public Holiday Voted

Earlier today, Japan's upper house of parliament approved the amendment to Japan’s Holiday Act to designate August 11, as a new annual Japanese non-working public holiday, to be known as Mountain Day (Yama no Hi), thus adding one annual non-working public holiday in Japan, beginning in 2016.
