Falkland Islands Get New Constitution
Sources: BBC News and Falkland Islands public holidays (qppstudio.net). A new constitution, which will come into force on January 1, 2009, has been agreed for the Falkland Islands. It is possible that a one-off public holiday will be declared in January 2009, as happened in Gibraltar when their new constitution was approved (see our December 20, 2006, news update).
