Earlier today, in a move reminiscent of what happened last year (our post of August 6, 2007), the High Court of Bangladesh issued a rule asking the government to explain, within four weeks, its cancellation of November 7 as a public holiday (see our post of November 29, 2007).Due to the delay imparted, it would seem that November 7 will not be restored as a public holiday, in 2008, but it could very well be for 2009.
