Sudan Declares April 15 Census Public Holiday

Sources: The Sudan Tribune and Sudan public holidays. The Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced today that Tuesday, April 15, 2008, would be an official public holiday throughout Sudan to coincide with the implementation of the fifth Sudan Population and Housing Census.

The secretary also announced a ban on the movement of means of transportation between the cities of the country during that day in order to ensure the participation of all citizens in the census.
