After many changes (see our posts of March 16, 2008, and of September 19, 2007) the Government of Bermuda has finally decided to create a new holiday called "Heroes' Day", to be held for the first time on October 13, 2008. It was also announced that, beginning in 2009, the Queen's Birthday public holiday would no longer be observed as a public holiday in Bermuda.

Bermuda Establishes New October Public Holiday
