Jordan Declares Public Holiday For November 20 Legislative Elections

As we had speculated would be the case, in our post of August 22, late Sunday, Prime Minister Marouf Bakhit issued an official statement that the day of the upcoming legislative elections (Tuesday, November 20, 2007) had been declared a public holiday to enable people to vote, and that therefore, all ministries and government agencies would be closed on that day.
