Late this week, the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), Abdul-Aziz Al-Zaban, issued a circular on the Cabinet’s decision (our news post of June 3) to declare Saturday as the weekly holiday and shift some official holidays, which fall on Saturday to Sunday.In the meanwhile the government has announced that the last public holiday before this change, the Prophet's Ascension, on August 10, would be moved to Saturday August 11, 2007.
