El Salvador To Officialize Civil Servants' Bridge Holidays For Next Year

Sources: elsalvador.com and El Salvador public holidays. El Salvador's ruling ARENA party has asked the legislative assembly to revise the public sector's public holidays law (Ley de Asuetos y Vacaciones de los Empleados Públicos), by enshrining the concept of bridge holidays begun on a case-by-case basis this year. If implemented, the law would make a one-off, bridge public holiday, any Monday that is followed by a Tuesday public holiday, or any Friday that is preceded by a Thursday public holiday. As compensation, the Saturday of the week-end preceding the bridge holiday weekend, would be a normal working day.
