Bulgaria Declares Special Public Holiday for May 21

The Bulgarian government announced, earlier this morning, that Monday, May 21, 2007, would be a one-off special public holiday in Bulgaria, due to the European Parliamentary elections held on May 20. The status of this special public holiday shall be similar to that of the annual November 1st public holiday, that is to say it will apply to all schools and to the education sector.
