Bhutan Declares May 28 Public Holiday for Second Practice Elections

As reported in our news story of May 2, 2007, the second round of "mock practice elections" will be held today, Monday, May 28, 2007, a day which has been declared a national public holiday with all government, corporate and private establishments closed for the day. The Ministry of trade and Industry also issued a notification that all shops and businesses should not operate on poll day.
