Sources in Bangladesh have confirmed that the Buddha Purnima Public Holiday, would occur tomorrow, on Wednesday, May 2, 2007.Analysis: Although this was the date that we have been predicting to our clients since the summer of 2005, it is always worthwhile to re-confirm matters, in the case of South-East Asian religious holidays, and particularly in the case of Buddhist public holidays.
Note that the quoted source, one of the leading newspapers in Bangladesh can be relied upon for the date of the Buddha Purnima Public Holiday in Bangladesh, but it is far less reliable when it asserts that the date will be the same "all over the world" as it was today, May 1st, in Sri Lanka, and will only be celebrated on May 31st, in Singapore, to name only 2 countries.
