Canada Mulls June 21 Public Holiday Extension

The Legislative Assembly of Canada's Yukon Territory has unanimously voted to add a new annual non-working public holiday, National Aboriginal Day on November 21, to "recognize the contributions of Yukon's indigenous peoples, and support efforts at reconciliation and understanding between aboriginal and non-aboriginal people".
