South Korea Mulls August 14-15 Public Holidays

Earlier today, an official for the South Korean government cabinet announced that the South Korean government was considering declaring Friday, August 14, 2015, the day before the annual National Liberation Day non-working public holiday of South Korea, as a one-off ("temporary") non-working public holiday in South Korea, due to the annual Liberation Day non-working public holiday falling on a Saturday in 2015, the 70th anniversary of South Korea's liberation.
