Taiwan Amends Public Holidays Act

The Taiwanese Ministry of the Interior has announced that, as expected, it had amended Article 5-1 and Article 6 of the Memorial Days and Holidays Act (紀念日及假日實施辦法) to have day in lieu public holidays be automatically declared when an annual Taiwanese non-working public holiday occurs on a weekend, beginning in the calendar year 2015.
