Bangladesh's National Moon Sighting Committee and Religious Affairs Committee has announced that the moon of the month of Shaban had been sighted in Bangladesh's sky earlier tonight and therefore that the upcoming Shab-e-Barat (night of fortune and forgiveness) would be observed on Friday, June 13, 2014, this year to be followed by the corresponding annual non-working public holiday in Bangladesh.
