Brazilian Parliament Considers March 8 National Public Holiday

The Committee on Education and Culture (SCC) of Brazil's Chamber of Deputies, has sent back, without comment, the Projeto de Lei 5701/09, of deputy Marcos Antonio (PRB-PE), which would declare the March 8, Dia da Mulher (International women's Day), as an annual national public holiday in Brazil.
