Indonesia Moves Up End of Ramadan Public Holiday

Earlier tonight, the chairman of Indonesia's Calculation and Observation Agency, KH Hadi Abdul Fatah, announced that the new moon had been sighted at Pelabuhan Ratu, Sukabumi, and at the Grand Mosque in Semarang, and as a consequence, the government of Indonesia declared that this year's Idul Fitri would fall on Sunday, September 20, 2009.
