USA Bill To Declare Election Day Public Holiday

An omnibus bill (the Voting Opportunity and Technology Enhancement Rights Act of 2009) tabled by Representative John Conyers Jr. and 5 co-sponsors would make Election Day a legal public holiday (as described in section 6103 of title 5, United States Code), every even-numbered year, beginning in 2010.
