China Announces March 10th Public Holiday

Sources: Xinhua (Lhassa) and China public holidays (qppstudio.net). The Chinese government has announced that it plans to declare a one-off public holiday, "Serf Liberation Day", on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of the Tibetan rebellion of 1959.
