Pakistan Declares Public Holiday For Anniversary of Benazir Bhutto's Death

The Pakistan Peoples Party has announced that Saturday, December 27, 2008, would be observed as a one-off nationwide public holiday to pay homage to former prime minster Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on the first anniversary of her death. Note that December 25 and, to a lesser extent, December 26, are already annual public holidays in Pakistan.
