Argentina Passes Law Moving October 12 Public Holiday

Sources: Diario el Litoral and Argentina public holidays (qppstudio.net). As announced in our post of September 27, Argentina's parliament voted today to make the October 12 public holiday henceforth move to the following Monday, if it falls on a Saturday or Sunday.

The law still needs to be signed into law by president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. However, considering that the impetus for this bill came from her (see our post of August 21) it is a virtual certainty that she will sign this bill into law, in time for this year's Día de la Raza public holiday.
