The Tamil Nadu State government has declared Monday, September 15, 2008, a one-off public holiday on account of former Chief Minister C.N. Annadurai’s birth centenary.All government offices, educational institutions, government-run organisations and boards, offices of local bodies, banks, including cooperative banks and public undertakings in the State will remain closed. September 15 will also be a holiday for the Madras High Court, both in the Principal Seat here and the Madurai Bench, and all subordinate courts in Tamil Nadu and the Union Territory of Puducherry.
