Ukraine President Declares October 16 Day Of National Mourning

In a letter released this afternoon to the press, the President of the Ukraine, Viktor Yushchenko, announced a day of national mourning for tomorrow, Tuesday, October 16, 2007, in memory of the 15 people who were killed, and dozens, including children, who were hospitalized, following a gas blast in a block of flats in Dnipropetrovsk on October 13. The day will not be a public holiday.
