The Minister of Governmental Sector Development, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, announced in a recent circular, that the Eid holiday for UAE civil servants would begin on Thursday October 11, 2007 (corresponding to the 29th day of the month of Ramadan).In that same circular, it was stated that government departments would return to work on Monday October 15th if the first day of the Eid fell on Friday October 12th, or on Tuesday October 16th if the first day of the Eid coincided with Saturday October 13th.
