As it had already done in 1999 and 2000, the Minister of Planning of Brazil has announced that the Government had decided that, as October 28 (Dia do Servidor Público, the day of the civil servant) fell on a Sunday this year, it had declared Friday, November 16, 2007, as a one-off, public holiday to be a bridge between the following week-end and the November 15 public holiday.
