Croatia Declares September 3 Day Of National Mourning

The government of Croatia proclaimed Monday, September 3, 2007, a day of national mourning, following the death, last night, of a seventh of the firemen that had recently battled the wildfire on the Adriatic island of Kornat. For its part, the district of Sibenik, where tragedy occurred, proclaimed seven days of mourning.
