Ivory Coast Declares July 30 Public Holiday

The Prime Minister of The Ivory Coast (Côte d'Ivoire), Guillaume Soro, announced in an article published in today's local newspapers, that he would petition the President of The Ivory Coast, Laurent Gbagbo, to make Monday, July 30, 2007, a one-off public holiday to allow as many people as possible to participate in the "Flamme de la Paix" (Peace Flame) ceremony in Bouaké.
