Turkey Considering Public Holiday On June 27 Due To Heat Wave

Temperatures in Turkey have reached such heights this week (10 to 13 degrees Celsius higher than their seasonal norm) that the government is considering calling a national holiday for tomorrow, Wednesday, June 27, 2007. No official confirmation is yet available, although the source of this news item is from a statement from Turkey's ministry of health.
