Indonesian 2017 Public Holidays Amended

The government of Indonesia has amended its previously-released annual decree ("Surat Keputusan Bersama (SKB) Hari Libur Nasional dan Cuti Bersama Tahun 2017") designating the list of Indonesian public holidays and collective leave days ("cuti bersama") for the calendar year 2017, for both the private and public sectors, by adding the long-expected Pancasila Day annual public holiday of Indonesia and shuffling around the list of collective leave days public holidays in Indonesia in 2017. Ghana December 7 Public Holiday Ruled-Out

Madagascar Cancels November 25 Public Holiday

Madagascar's "Service conseils de la Primature", has issued a terse communiqué indicating that, contrary to what had been announced last week, Friday, November 25, 2016, would not be declared as a one-off non-working public holiday in Madagascar on account of the upcoming "Sommet de la Francophonie" ("La journée du 25 novembre n’a pas été décrétée fériée par le gouvernement"). Romanian Public Holiday December 2

The Romanian Government has published the "Government Decision no. 871/2016 on the establishment day of December 2, 2016 as a day off" (Official Gazette, Part I, no. 950) which declares Friday, December 2, 2016, as a one-off bridge public holiday in Romania, to link the annual Romanian public holidays of Saint Andrew's on November 30 and the National Day on December 1st, with the subsequent weekend. Costa Rican Otto Public Holidays November 24-25

Paraguay 2017 Public Holidays Released

Vietnam 2017 Public Holidays Approved

Ukraine 2017 Public Holidays Approved

At today's meeting, Ukraine's Cabinet issued a still unnumbered disposition which approves the previously-released draft resolution by the Ukraine's Ministry of Social Policy, specifying the annual official list of 2017 non-working public holidays in the Ukraine, as well as the postponement of some working days in 2017, "in order to create favorable conditions for the rational use of working time".
